Manchester // In The City

Hello,

I know that there is a blog of pictures on our myspace but I thought I would write a little something about it on here.

After our sat nav took us on a half an hour detour on the way up our trusty tour manager paul guided us safely to our venue in plenty of time, after sound check we ended up with around 9 hours to kill. I actually saw the "rev" in the hotel (wasn't he supposed to quit music?) and we all ended up getting numerous take aways, before James(data select party) introduced me to gin and tonic in a can, costing around £1 at 8% it gets you drunk. quick. Hence I failed my driving test the next day..

Sean of DiS amazingness had this to say while watching our set.. "Currently watching Dash Delete with shuffling groups of shy girls staring mesmerized at their post-Bloc sprightly jangly youth-rock" nice.

Anyway, thank you to anyone that came down to Chicago rock, it was hella fun and we hope to come back to Manchester and the north very very soon.

Keep an eye out on more dates hitting our myspace soon.

Hello all,

Sorry for not writing on here for a while but as per we have been keeping ourselves busy, we've been holing up in our little practice room and writing songs and then practicing them over and over.
Thank you to anyone who came down to our shows at the beginning of the month.

It's definitely worth saying that our next show is on the 27th September, it starts at 3pm and it's totally free, the line up is well worth coming down for: Sky Larkin, Data Select Party, Dash Delete and Sportsday Megaphone.

Also all the details for "In The City" in Manchester have been released, its going to be amazing we'd love to see you all there as we should be previewing at least two brand spanking new songs.... The Line up at Chicago Rock Café, 6th October is:

23:45pm - Johnny Foreigner
23:00pm - Data Select Party
22:15pm - Dash Delete
21:30pm - The ABC Club
20:45pm - Radio Luxembourg
20:00pm - Friends Electric
19:15pm - Barn Owl

+ iForward Russia! DJ set. Awesome.

We're planning lots of stuff towards the end of the year and the beginning of next including a single and a stint on a tour, more will be announced soon. Keep checking the myspace...

Holiday

Sorry it has been a while since I wrote a post, we've been quite busy of late. Lots of things happening in the Dash Delete camp, anyone reading this will of noticed we put up a new song which we hope you all like. Anyway we've played a few a shows including proud galleries, here's a little photo of us sound checking:

We also have a show on Wednesday at the Lock Tavern where Richard and Ash will be playing acoustic for Young & Lost Club, its free and will be great so get yourselves down there.
Unfortunately after that we are taking a little break from shows until September due to other commitments and holidays. We are going to use the time to write and keep ourselves busy, so you will be seeing hopefully alot of us towards the end of the year, with more and more exciting news....

In the mean time, keep the faith. Drop us a line on myspace or on here and we'll get back to you. Thank you for the continued support and for keeping on listening. Have a good summer!

Things,,,

Sorry we haven't posted in almost a month but we've had a load of things going on... So just a quick word:

We've all finished are exams and enjoying our time out, what with the grass court season and writing songs etc. Jack's on holiday at the moment but we'll have him back for our upcoming shows and recording. We should have a load going on in July, we have a few dates coming up, well worth coming down too.

Recording wise, we are going into the studio on the 12th of July to record two new songs with our friend Tom Morris at Fortress, he's played around with bands like naked and the boys and assisted on the Kaiser Chiefs new record, they are also going to be mixed by our friend Darren at the pierce rooms. The songs we are going to record are "Holiday" and "Hold Hands".

We played our first show of June at Catch Bar in Shoreditch with Jamie and the lionhearts who were tight, they sound abit like jay jay pistolet mixed with mumford and sons but with their own brand stamped on, here's a photo and their link. Check them out:

So...

We thought we'd start one of these, to keep you all upto date with whats going on... As sometimes it feels like to you as if we are drifting off into another dimension when really we may probably sometimes are doing something fairly constructive...

As you may know, we played the Great Escape festival this month with the Rifles, Twisted Wheel and the Electric city, it was actually amazing and we all had a really good experience, theres some photos up on our myspace right now in a blog. Thanks to everyone who came..

What we have to look forward to though, is going into the studio in July at the wonderful Fortress, where the Go! team recorded their album and our new tracks are going to be mixed and mastered at the equally wonderful Pierce rooms, where people like kate nash had their albums mixed, we're really excited to show you some of our new songs, we're working really hard on our A-levels and GCSE's right now but we have a load of new songs that we've started playing live, and a few more in the works that we are really excited about and can't wait for everyone to hear.

As far as gigs go, we should have a local show up really soon and a few more London dates announced over the summer, I know we've been abit slow on this recently but we'll probably be imposing ourselves on you in the next couple months!

Me and Rich went to wales the other day, where it rained and the surf stayed flat but we learnt how to cheat at monopoly and drunk copious amounts while watching peep show so all was not lost whilst writing a bit...

Sorry for the long boring blog but I couldn't think of anyway to spice up these facts, I'm about to complete mario kart too, which seems like a priority over revision.

See you at a show soon
